Space Shuttle STS 116 flood lit on the launch pad 39A at T-10 seconds. Close up of the main engines at the moment of ignition. Wider shot as booster ignition happens and the Shuttle jumps off the pad in a ball of light which lights up the Florida lagoons around the launch pad. Tracking shots follow the bright glow of the main engines and the glowing exhaust gas column as it rises high into the dark. Eventually all that can be seen is a tiny bright speck in the black night sky.
