A flight around the International Space Station, filmed from onboard Space Shuttle Discovery (STS 119). The spectacular array of solar panels and radiators are all unfurled. As we pass around the ISS the Earth comes into view passing rapidly beneath us in this speeded up view. The camera is occasionally adjusted causing the image to jump. Thick banks of cloud pass beneath the station as the Shuttle passes overhead. Light catches the solar panels on the aft section of the station as the Earth's marbled backdrop of brilliant white clouds and deep blue ocean and passes beneath. As we pass further around the station, light catches the ocean gleaming brightly beneath the station. We soon find ourselves on the opposite side of the station with the Earth's limb appearing again and the velvety blackness of space above. By the end of the clip the space station is seen again against the backdrop of space with all its solar panels spectacularly illuminated.
